Bills host free agent QB Flynn

Quarterback Matt Flynn had a private workout with the Buffalo Bills on Monday.
A contract wasn't considered imminent, but the Bills are hurting for veteran depth. A contract with Flynn would bring the well-traveled quarterback to his fourth NFL team in two seasons with a chance to contribute.
Flynn was released by the Oakland Raiders, becoming a free agent, and worked out for the Bills on Monday despite losing starting jobs in Seattle and Oakland to first-time starters Russell Wilson (Seahawks) and Terrelle Pryor (Raiders) in back-to-back preseasons.
The Raidiers acquired Flynn from Seattle in April.
Buffalo, beset with injuries at quarterback, won't know the status of Thad Lewis (foot) until later in the week, but he's expected to be ready for Sunday's game at Miami. Initial tests showed no major damage, Lewis said, after moving from the practice squad to the first-team offense and pushing the Cincinnati Bengals to overtime in a 27-24 loss Week 6.
If Lewis is out, the Bills would likely push undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel into action.
Starter EJ Manuel is recovering from a knee sprain. He could miss two or three more games based on coach Doug Marrone's comments last week
