Bills' Williams prescribed rest for foot injury

Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams was advised that rest was the best possible treatment for his injured foot, NFL Network reported.
He sat out Sunday's practice because of the injury, and on Monday, he left training camp to have the foot examined.
At his press conference Monday, head coach Doug Marrone said the team was going to extra mile to figure out the cause of the soreness. A day later, Marrone reached the boiling point with a barrage of questions about Williams status -- which he answered no less than four times by telling reporters he had no new information and Williams was still being evaluated -- before venting his frustration with the line of questioning.
"I'm going to say this. I want to say something, and then I'll let you say your piece so we're all on the same page," Marrone said. "I'm a straight shooter. You could ask anyone that's ever known me from when I was a kid. I'm shooting you straight, OK? I understand you have a job to do. I have an appreciation for it.
"My answers are going to be it's the same situation as it was yesterday. For me to speculate, I never speculate until I hear from the medical staff. ... The doctors go through an evaluation process, and when they inform me, that's when I know. It's as simple as that.
"I get frustrated, honestly, when it gets to a point where I feel like I've tried to explain myself and how I handle the injuries, and I've answered the questions, and you keep coming at me, all right?"
Williams is entering the second year of his $96 million contract. He had 10.5 sacks for the Bills last season.
Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine had said he planned to move Williams all over the field to make it more difficult for opposing offenses to key on him
