Defensive end Mark Anderson was released by the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, one season into the four-year deal he signed as a free agent last March.
Anderson signed a contract worth $20 million to be the bookend pass rusher opposite $100 million free agent Mario Williams, the Bills' headline acquisition in 2012.
Anderson, 30, missed 11 games due to injury and had only one sack and 10 total tackles compared to the 10.5 sacks Williams recorded.
Buffalo acquired Jerry Hughes from the Indianapolis Colts and signed Manny Lawson in free agency
