Boston College suspends WR Flutie

Boston College wide receiver Troy Flutie, the nephew of former Eagles and NFL quarterback Doug Flutie, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving on Saturday and was suspended from the team, the school announced Monday.
Flutie, 20, crashed his car into a curb in his hometown of Natick, Mass. early Saturday morning. He denied to police officers that he had been drinking, failed field sobriety tests and refused to take a breathalyzer test, resulting in the loss of his driver's license for 180 days.
"Troy has been suspended from the football team by Coach Steve Addazio pending further investigation and faces the possibility of additional University sanctions pending the outcome of the court proceedings," Boston College said in a statement to school newspaper The Heights.
Flutie, who played quarterback at Natick High School, also spent time at the position for Boston College during the 2015 season, completing 24 of 49 passes for 382 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
He did not record a catch in 2015, but he rushed for 33 yards on 23 carries
