The Sports Xchange has provided sports information, insight and analysis to leading media companies since 1987.
Situated as a turnkey editorial solution for print, online and other entertainment companies, TSX offers syndicated, exclusive and special event packages to a wide range of clients in the media and entertainment industry.
Current clients include CBSSports.com, Comcast.net, FoxSports.com, Lindy’s Sports Annuals, Sports Weekly, Yahoo! Sports and USA Today/USAToday.com. TSX is also utilized for in-depth research by television and radio broadcast media, including ESPN, FOX and CBS. EA Sports, FOX Interactive and Sony Entertainment are among those who used TSX for sports video game ratings and content.
The Network
At the heart of TSX is a broad, deep network of professional, accredited journalists who cover each team or sport full time. This enables TSX to deliver in-depth, timely information directly from teams to clients year-round. The credibility of these professionals creating original material dramatically differentiates TSX content from the proliferation of information that is aggregated from unreliable sources.
TSX’s network is comprised of more than 400 freelance writers covering more than 600 teams for the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, college football and basketball, golf and NASCAR. TSX's ability to react to news extends even further due to the network's growth and a reputation in the industry that has been built for more than 20 years.
Clients can also tap into TSX's experienced staff of editors and administrators to help plan exclusive content including columns, event coverage and special packages.
Editorial
A team of staff editors manage the writer networks, schedule content and work with clients on requests for exclusive content and special event packages. As a turnkey editorial solution, all content is edited thoroughly before delivery.
Technology
TSX has built a propriety web-based Content Management System. Editors log into the system to enter content, parse XML feeds and deliver products to clients. The writer network submits syndicated content to a web-based collection system. Exclusive content such as columns can be delivered via XML format or by email for immediately delivery on client deadlines.
XML feeds are designed to be straightforward for easy integration by clients. All players and teams are tagged with unique identification numbers that each client can map to.
Files are typically pushed via FTP to client servers, although by request a secure server can be set up to pull content directly from TSX.
